2. What we collect

We only collect what you voluntarily give us:

• When you sign up for updates: your name, email address, the language you were viewing the site in, and the timestamp and record of your consent.
• When you apply for a role: your name, email, resume, and any information you include in your email to hiring@meitner.energy. Job applications are handled by email; the careers page does not collect data through a form.

We do not use analytics, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party trackers on this site. Framer, our website host, may set strictly-necessary cookies required to serve the page; these do not identify you individually.

3. How we use it

• To send you updates about Meitner Energy (product launch, hiring, announcements) — only if you signed up for them.
• To evaluate job applications you submit.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data to make automated decisions that produce legal effects on you.

4. Legal basis (for EU/UK visitors)

• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) for sending you email updates. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any email or emailing us at privacy@meitner.energy.
• Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for evaluating job applications you send us.

5. Who we share it with

• Formspree (formspree.io) — receives and stores email sign-up submissions on our behalf. Formspree is based in the United States. Data transfer to the US is protected by Standard Contractual Clauses; Formspree’s privacy policy is at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
• Framer (framer.com) — hosts the website. Framer’s privacy policy is at framer.com/legal/privacy.
• Legal authorities where required by law.

We do not share your data with any other third parties.

6. How long we keep it

• Sign-up list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or 24 months after our public launch, whichever is sooner.
• Job applications: for 12 months after the application is received, unless you ask us to keep it longer for future opportunities.

7. Your rights

If you are in the EU, UK, or a jurisdiction with similar laws, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your data (“right to erasure”)
• Restrict or object to processing
• Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format)
• Withdraw consent at any time
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@meitner.energy. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

We use HTTPS for all form submissions. We limit internal access to personal data on a need-to-know basis. However, no system is 100% secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.

9. Children

This site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
